EF Coaching
My coaching approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Through a detailed intake process designed to establish a strong rapport, I gain insights into my clients' values, goals, strengths, and areas for growth. From this foundation, my coaching becomes highly interactive, concentrating on developing effective systems and teaching strategies to achieve their goals and become the person they aspire to be.
Executive functions are a set of skills that allow us to focus on what to do and how to do it. These skills are related to:
-
Planning- setting goals and determining the steps towards accomplishing the goals.
-
Organization- developing and maintaining a system to keep track of plans and materials.
-
Time Management- accurately estimating how long tasks take, then using time efficiently to meet deadlines.
-
Task Initiation- beginning tasks in a timely manner.
-
Working Memory- holding information in our brains while working with it.
-
Metacognition- having an awareness and understanding of what you know and don’t know, reflecting on your thoughts and actions, and changing course when needed.
-
Self-Control- managing your thoughts, actions, and emotions.
-
Sustained Attention- focusing on a person or task for a given period of time.

We rely on EF skills daily, and it is common to have both strengths and areas needing improvement in these skills. When weaknesses in EF skills begin to affect your academic performance or personal life, it may be time to seek coaching.
I provide coaching to children, adolescents, and adults.
